H-C applauds Centre’s contributions … calls for greater commitment

Honourable Commissioner for Establishments, Training & Pensions, Mrs. Ajibola Ponnle, has applauded the contributions of the Centre to Public Service capacity building and knowledge development in the last 25 years.

In a New Year message during a visit to the Centre, Ponnle stated that her visit was to encourage the Management and staff to continue to commit to the Centre’s vision and the realisation of the State Government’s greater Lagos agenda.

While congratulating the Management and staff on the New Year, she charged all to decide to make a positive difference in service delivery, adding that “it is imperative to continue to remind ourselves that we are playing a part in a new reinvigorated Lagos State rather than just receiving pay”.

Ponnle further stated that the idea of a greater Lagos is one whose time had come and that the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration has the passion, dedication, vision and conviction to make a greater Lagos happen.

As the hub of the Public Service capacity building in the State, PSSDC must continue to develop its potential to contribute greater value as we begin the march towards a Public Service University, she added.

She restated her commitment, as Honourable Commissioner, to continue to provide the right kind of leadership to help the Centre achieve its vision and mandate. She therefore called on the Centre to continue to strategise and develop the right competences for 21st Century capacity building.

Also speaking, the Director-General, Dr. Senukon Olufunmi Ajose–Harrison, who led other members of management to receive the Honourable Commissioner, welcomed her to the Centre. He expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for the excellent leadership provided since her appointment and pledged the Centre’s commitment to assisting the state Government’s realisation of the Greater Lagos agenda through the THEMES project.
