Director-General receives Director, UNILAG-HRDC ... reiterates commitment to partner with best of breed institutions

The Director-General, Dr. Senukon Olufunmi Ajose-Harrison, has reiterated the determination of the Centre to partner and collaborate with best of breed institutions nationally and internationally.

Speaking while receiving the Director, Human Resources Development Centre of the University of Lagos, Dr. Lateef Odekunle, at PSSDC's Magodo office, Ajose-Harrison explained that such collaborations had the capacity to enlarge the scope of capacity building and provide partnering organisations the wherewithal to benefit maximally from the economies of scale that would be generated.

He expressed PSSDC's willingness and commitment to ensuring that the PSSDC-HRDC Collaboration commenced in earnest, adding that it was important that both parties "take immediate and decisive steps to kick-start the processes that would lead to successful signing of the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding".

Responding, the Director UNILAG-HRDC, Dr. Lateef Odekunle, appreciated the Director-General and Management of the Centre for the warmth and openness with which he was received. He conveyed the greetings of the Vice Chancellor, Unilag, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe and the Chairman,  HRDC Board, Professor Lai Olurode and stated the he was at PSSDC to show his face as the new appointee Director of UNILAG-HRDC.

He expressed satisfaction at the professional presentation of the Centre, adding that that has deepened his conviction that the two institutions had a great deal of commonality and would be able to make the collaboration to work. He further expressed his desire to get the collaboration to a very quick and smooth start, adding that the University of Lagos was ready and willing to take the collaboration to the next level.
