WHETO, Joel Ahonowhe

Joel Ahonowhe Wheto, Head of Business Support/Instructional Materials and Training Equipment Department, joined the services of the Centre in May, 1998 as a Junior Research Fellow, after a stint in the agriculture sub-sector of the Nigerian economy. He has since risen through the ranks to the position of Deputy Director, Training. He holds a Second Class (Upper Division) Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Soil Science from the University of Ibadan.

His tour at the Centre has taken him from the Local Government Department in 1998 through the Management Consultancy Services Directorate (where he contributed his quota in the consultancy services efforts of the Centre), to the Directorate of Programmes before he was appointed as the Head of the Business Support and Instructional Materials and Training Equipment in 2018.

A certified trainer by the Nigerian Council for Management Development, Joel is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
