ADETONA, Alaba Akeem

Akeem Alaba Adetona, Director, Information, Communication Technology joined the services of the Lagos State Government and PSSDC in 1996 as a Junior Research Officer and rose through ranks to the present position of Director. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Ibadan and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from University of Lagos. He is a SUN certified JAVA Programmer and Microsoft Office Specialist.

He has been responsible for the design, development and implementation of ICT-based programmes in the Centre. He has also provided leadership in the maintenance of the Centre’s electrical and ICT equipment. He coordinates all ICT related tasks both within and outside the Centre. He has also created a viable environment for the ICT skills and knowledge to thrive.

A certified trainer by the National Council on Management Development, Akeem is a Member of several professional membership institutes including the Nigeria Computer Society, the Mathematical Association of Nigeria, the Nigeria Statistical Association, the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD).

As Head of ICT, he deploys his experience to ensure a sustainable roll-out of and internet-compliant framework for the Centre.
