Head, Local Government and Security Studies

Rita Shitta-Bey (Mrs.), Deputy Director and Head of Local Government and Security Studies, joined the Centre as an Administrative and HR Officer I on 6th August, 1999. She holds a Honours Bachelor of Arts (Education) Degree of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, in English Language.

Rita is a certified trainer by the Nigerian Council for National Development (NCMD) and member of the Nigerian Institute for Training and Development (NITAD) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) respectively.

As Head of Local Government and Security Studies Programme Area of the Centre, she serves as the interface between PSSDC and the critical Local Government Service. She also manages the Centre's learning and development programmes specifically targeted at the staff of the tier of Government closest to the citizenry.
